Dr. Michael Bertilsson has been appointed the new President of Sectra Communications AB, a subsidiary of Sectra AB in Sweden. Dr. Bertilsson is currently manager of Sectra Communication’s Crypto Division and will assume his new position of October 6, 2008.
Michael Bertilsson, 46, has worked at Sectra since 1989. He holds an MSc in engineering from the Institute of Technology at Linköping University and Doctor of Technology in information theory. His doctorial thesis dealt with cryptology and how to share secrets.

He holds great insight regarding the challenges and possibilities facing the company and, accordingly, has excellent prerequisites for developing operations within our Secure communications systems business area in the future,” says Dr. Jan-Olof Brüer, CEO and President of Sectra AB.
Michael Bertilsson replaces Jan-Olof Brüer who, parallel with his position as CEO and President of Sectra AB, has been Acting President of Sectra Communications since spring 2006.
Sectra Communications AB develops and sells products for secure voice and data communications. The customers are primarily government authorities and defense departments in Europe with strict demands on communications security. Sectra’s Tiger products are used by customers in more than half of the 27 EU member states, making Sectra the leading supplier of secure voice communications to government authorities and defense departments in Europe.
