Sectra launches next-generation management tool for the radiology department

The IT and medical-technology company Sectra is releasing a new, enhanced version of its advanced tool for optimizing workflow and resource utilization in radiology departments.

Sectra’s management tool, Sectra Control Tower, provides department managers full control and overview of current production statistics as well as historical data used for trend analysis.

Sectra Control Tower now also features live reports, with unique capabilities of revealing and analyzing bottlenecks in real time. The live reports provide the department manager with instant overview of such selected performance statistics as current queue lengths, patient waiting times and resource usage.

“For radiology department managers striving to enhance and streamline production, Sectra Control Tower is an extremely valuable tool. Trends analyses, accurate reports on resource utilization and live reports facilitate control of the system’s performance. It is also an aid in long-term procurement decisions,” says Staffan Bergström, Vice President Marketing at Sectra Imtec AB.

“The new version of Sectra Control Tower features a full set of predefined reports and a standardized interface that allows us to customize new predefined reports for specific needs. Since the new version runs in a web browser, it is extremely easy to deploy and can be used anywhere at anytime,” continues Bergström.

Sectra Control Tower collects data from Sectra’s Radiological IT systems. The new version facilitates definition of individual queries creating special reports for certain occasions.
