Sectra implements new share issue

Acting on a mandate from shareholders at the Annual General Meeting in June 2003, the Board of the Swedish IT and medical-technology company Sectra AB (publ) is implementing a new share issue of 2,700,000 B shares totaling SEK 150 million. The purpose of the new share issue is to finance intensified market investments within the mammography area.

"There is major growth potential within the mammography area. We intend to be one of the leading players and will allocate substantial resources so that we can more rapidly establish ourselves in this market," says Jan-Olof Brüer, Chief Executive Officer and President of Sectra AB.

A total of 2,700,000 B shares have been privately placed by Hagströmer & Qviberg Fondkommission AB through a so-called book-building bidding procedure at a price of SEK 55,50 per share. The shares have been principally acquired by well reputed Scandinavian institutional investors such as 3:e AP-fonden and Nordea fonder, which broadens the institutional ownership in Sectra.

The new issue corresponds to 8.2% of the Company's the share capital and 4.8% of the voting rights. Following the new issue, Sectra's share capital amounts to SEK 35 851 511.
